Creative Direction

• Print designer at Mcmann & Tate Advertising (Dallas)

• Interactive Art Director for Agency.com, where I worked on some of the first corporate websites, including Disneyland Paris, which required the design and management of five language versions, and designed Merrill Lynch Japanese intranet from Dallas and Tokyo

• Recruited to build the design group for iXL (Tokyo) office, where my teams delivered award winning results for ANA, Nomura and other major corporate and research clients

• Hired by NextLeft as Creative Director (Santa Monica), managing the design team and creating exceptional digital work for a dozen of ConAgra’s consumer product brands

• In my present role as founder/Creative Director of design studio RDLA, our teams have delivered over 800 projects for Kyocera Communications, are currently rebranding the digital presence of Kyocera Solar, and have been AOR for Carroll Shelby International since 2003. In addition, rebranded eHarmony and Traffic.com. The Venetian Resort and Spa, Toyota 

• Additional projects have been a rebrand of eHarmony and traffic.com, online engagements for the Venetian and Toyota.

 


UX Research and Design

• Led the creation of the very first UX and UI teams for Agency.com in 1994

• Continued to modify the approach as a partner with People Design Technology, where we conducted user testing and rapid prototyping for the first redesign of Nokia USA

• Hired by iXL (NYC) as lead UX designer for all of GE's financial web properties

• Recruited from iXL (Tokyo) to become VP/User Experience at Digitas UK (London)

• Developed rapid prototyping and usability testing techniques

• Established persona and color theory research (patent pending)


Photography

• Commercial photographer in Dallas, before moved to NYC to pursue a career in the 1980s

• Former staff photographer for the New York Stock Exchange and the New York Port Authority

• Became one of the first 10 photographers to work with Apple's VR panoramic technology

• Awarded the highest Fellowship distinction by the Royal Photographic Society in 2001

• Chosen to shoot the Global Forum Nokia Developer Campaign, which sent me to Hong Kong, Beijing, Manila, Paris and Helsinki and back in two weeks
